I have been looking for golfers for a golf shoot out at the Berwick Golf Club on September 12,2011 as a fundraising event for Your Loving Choices, Pregnancy Resource Center in Bloomsburg, Pa. We are a local non-profit organization and are having a difficult time finding golfers who are willing to commit so I have been surfing the internet for ideas and your blog popped up on one of the searches. I don’t know if you have time on that day or are interested in signing up to play and committing to finding donations for yourself but if not maybe you have some golfers in mind who live in the area and could help out this worthy cause. It is an all day event with golfers being able to shoot 100 holes and also food and prizes. If you have any ideas or are interested yourself please call or text me- 570-231-1671.

I used to do that regularly, but for some reason got away from it. I used to “play” my course from tee to green during every practice session. I’d mark what I thought would be the results on each hole, (GIR, or how far off the green I’d miss) then I’d go to the putting/chipping area and finish each hole by chipping and putting out.

At the end of the session I’d have a “score” that I could use as a yardstick to compare it to other practice sessions and see how well I’d done.
